As a proud 7th Generation Floridian growing up on a fully sustainable family farm, we were land-rich and money-poor. This ingrained an understanding of the hard work it takes to feed the world and why it is foundational to agvocate our work. Passionately learning from history while seeking out shared stories of previous generations failures and successes is one of the greatest joys working in agriculture provides. Farming and ranching is the greatest pursuit of humanity; impacting this industry positively will always be my goal.

Kasey Brown

Kasey Brown was a black sheep as a farm kid in Indiana. She understood beef cattle, sheep and rabbits far more than corn and soybeans. She was also avid band and choir nerd. She attended Texas A&M to be in cattle country, and then moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, to be an editor with Angus Media for 11 years. There, she launched and hosted the Angus at Work podcast.

In 2022, she made the switch to agency life, still driven by providing information that solves problems for livestock producers. In 2024, she launched her own company, Teal Hat Communications, to focus on copywriting and podcast production for agribusinesses. This lets her still provide relevant information for farmers and ranchers, while keeping up with her husband and two children. She continues her black-sheep status as a classically trained singer and stage actress.
